Refunds & Cancellation
Effective August 25, 2026 · Last updated August 25, 2026
In plain English
Cancel whenever you like — there's no contract and no termination fee. If Cedar & Stone isn't right for your church, tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. Cancel an annual plan mid-term and we refund the unused months. Whatever happens, you get 90 days to take your data with you.
1. Cancelling
There is no contract and no minimum term. You can cancel from your account settings, or by emailing andrew@cedarandstone.io. There is no cancellation fee and nobody will ask you to sit through a retention call.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then.
2. The 30-day money-back guarantee
If you decide within 30 days of your first payment that Cedar & Stone is not right for your church, email us and we will refund that payment in full. No form, no explanation required, and it applies whether you paid monthly or annually.
The guarantee covers your first payment only. After that, the terms below apply.
3. Refunds after the first 30 days
Monthly plans. Cancel anytime and you keep access through the end of the month you have paid for. We do not refund part of a month, because you can use the service for all of it.
Annual plans. Cancel mid-term and we refund the unused portion, prorated and rounded to the nearest full month.
If something went wrong on our end. If the service was unavailable or broken in a way that meaningfully stopped your church using what it paid for, email us and tell us what happened. We would rather make it right than argue about the terms above.
4. If a payment fails
Cards expire and banks decline things. Nothing dramatic happens immediately.
- While the payment is being retried, your account keeps working normally.
- If the subscription then lapses, you get a 7-day grace period. The app works as usual and shows a banner telling you when access will pause.
- After the grace period, the account pauses. Anyone at your church can still sign in, and an administrator can still download your documents — but the app cannot be used to create new work.
- Your data is kept for 90 days from that point.
A paused account is restored the moment the subscription is sorted out. Nothing is deleted when it pauses.
5. Getting your data out
Whether you cancel or a payment lapses, you have 90 days to export your data. Administrators can download uploaded documents directly from the app. If you need something we do not yet have a download button for, email us and we will get it to you in a usable format.
After 90 days we may permanently delete the account and its data. We will not delete a church’s data inside that window.
6. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Once we issue one, banks typically take five to ten business days to post it.
If you think you have been charged in error, email us before disputing the charge with your bank — we can almost always sort it out faster than a dispute can.
7. Founding churches
Founding churches are on the same terms as everyone else. The founding rate is held for as long as the subscription stays active; if it lapses and is later restarted, we cannot promise the founding rate is still available.
